Global Project Management Forum In Riyadh: A Convergence For Leadership And Sustainability

The 3rd Global Project Management Forum (GPMF) is set to take place on June 2-3, 2024, in Riyadh, under the auspices of Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistic Services. This year's theme, "We Achieve the Dream: Leadership, Empowerment, Sustainability," aims to bring together professionals from various sectors to discuss the multifaceted aspects of project management. The forum is recognized for its role in facilitating the exchange of ideas and innovative solutions crucial for the successful completion of major projects.

Eng. Badr M. Burshaid, President of GPMF at the Project Management Institute KSA Chapter, underscored the forum's significance as a global platform that draws experts, project managers, and decision-makers from across the world. He pointed out that the event is designed to encourage collaboration, align visions, and cultivate innovative approaches to tackle challenges and promote sustainable economic growth both regionally and globally.

"The GPMF has bolstered Saudi Arabia's leading position in executing impressive and futuristic projects since the initiation of Vision 2030 in 2016," Burshaid remarked. He further noted that the forum plays a pivotal role in supporting government efforts to transform Riyadh into a sustainable and economically vibrant global city by attracting project pioneers, including thought leaders and professionals from various fields.

The forum is targeted at a wide audience encompassing individuals from the public and private sectors, semi-governmental entities, engineering and contracting firms, procurement companies, startups, construction and infrastructure companies, entrepreneurs, executives, project managers, strategy managers, developers, project management office managers, project management consultants, and technology providers.

One of the key objectives of the GPMF is to empower women, professionals, and the youth by providing them with essential skills and knowledge for achieving excellence in project management. The forum will cover critical topics such as economy, governance, work methods, value chain management, large-scale projects, sustainable social impact, digital transformation, artificial intelligence applications, soft power skills among others that support global sustainability efforts and leadership empowerment.
