Another session on the first day will address "The EU Artificial Intelligence Act," examining its global impact on AI governance. Experts and policymakers will discuss the law's principles and its potential effects on innovation, ethics, and human rights. They will consider adopting the European model as a global framework to balance technological progress with social responsibility.

The second day's session titled "The Role of Regional Media in Shaping Global Narratives" will focus on how Middle Eastern media can enrich global storytelling. It will highlight regional media's growing influence in presenting diverse cultural perspectives and fostering collaboration with international outlets for a more inclusive view of global issues.

The day will conclude with a session on "Climate Change: How Media's Role Evolves as the Crisis Intensifies." Environmental journalists and climate scientists will discuss how media can raise awareness about climate challenges. They aim to innovate in delivering environmental content using multimedia, equipping journalists with skills to communicate impactful messages effectively.

On the final day, an in-depth session titled "Global Insights: Major Events and Their Multifaceted Impacts" will provide comprehensive analyses of significant global events. Experts will examine their implications across politics, economics, culture, and public opinion. This session aims to give participants a holistic understanding of these events' complexities and repercussions.

Literature as a Voice for Justice

The concluding session, "The Role of Literature in the Battle for Social Justice," organised with the Russian Writers' Organisation, will explore literature's power in advocating for justice and human rights. It highlights how literary works intersect with media to draw attention to social injustice issues and amplify marginalised voices.

The Media Labs at the Global Media Congress 2024 emphasise building professional media capabilities to address contemporary challenges effectively. It provides a platform for media professionals to create purposeful content that raises awareness of pressing global issues today.
