1 Billion Acts Of Kindness: Twenty Global Content Creators To Drive Positive Change

The 1 Billion Followers Summit 2026 in Dubai named 20 global content creators who will join James Stephen Donaldson, known as MrBeast, in the "1 Billion Acts of Kindness" campaign, a worldwide social movement that has already generated more than 170,000 humanitarian and community acts and exceeded 100 million online views within three weeks of its launch.

The announcement took place during the summit’s fourth edition, organised by the UAE Government Media Office and hosted by the United Arab Emirates under the theme "Content for Good." Sessions were held across Emirates Towers, DIFC, and the Museum of the Future in Dubai, starting 9 January 2026, highlighting how digital influence can support humanitarian work and social development globally.

Twenty Creators to Lead 1 Billion Acts

The campaign was introduced on 7 November 2025 by MrBeast, whose combined social media following exceeds 873 million, and whose videos attract more than 62 billion views each year. MrBeast issued a global challenge, calling on content creators everywhere to help produce one billion meaningful acts of kindness within their own communities and countries.

Participants were asked to share original videos that recorded acts of kindness or positive community impact. Submissions covered a wide range of activities, from neighbourhood volunteering and charity support to efforts backing international causes. Entries were accepted until 1 December 2025, giving content creators several weeks to design, film, and publish their humanitarian initiatives.

The 20 content creators selected to work with MrBeast on new community initiatives reflect diverse regions and audiences. The group is set to collaborate on projects designed to maximise impact and visibility, aligning personal platforms with the wider goals of the "1 Billion Acts of Kindness" campaign to expand participation among followers and viewers worldwide.

1 Billion Acts of Kindness campaign, 1 Billion Followers Summit and content creators impact

The "1 Billion Acts of Kindness" campaign is described as the largest global social movement of its kind, supported by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) and the Varkey Foundation. Within three weeks, it has already prompted more than 170,000 documented humanitarian and community actions, demonstrating wide engagement from audiences who follow participating creators online.

Many of the documented initiatives focused on vulnerable groups and community service. Submitted projects included volunteering with elderly people, supporting people of determination and the homeless, organising local service activities, planting trees, running donation drives, raising awareness of social causes and charities, and offering workshops or educational programmes that helped people gain new skills and knowledge.

Selection criteria for featured content emphasised authenticity, clarity of storytelling, creativity, and measurable positive social impact. Videos that demonstrated direct benefit to communities, inspired further participation, or showed innovative approaches to acts of kindness were prioritised. This focus aimed to encourage creators to move beyond simple documentation and design projects with clear, lasting value for beneficiaries.

The 1 Billion Followers Summit, which gathered more than 15,000 content creators and influencers, also hosted over 500 speakers, 150 chief executives, and several international experts. The event highlighted the growing role of digital platforms in public communication, with the "Content for Good" theme underscoring how online influence can shift towards humanitarian, educational, and community-focused projects.

Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Secretary General of MBRGI, attended the announcement alongside Sunny Varkey, Founder of the Varkey Foundation, and MrBeast. The "1 Billion Acts of Kindness" campaign was launched by the 1 Billion Followers Summit in cooperation with MrBeast and with support from MBRGI and the Varkey Foundation.

Mohammad Al Gergawi said: "Launching this global social movement from the 1 Billion Followers Summit, hosted in the UAE, reflects the nation’s mission of transforming digital influence into tangible, positive change in people’s lives. We view content creators as a powerful driver of humanitarian action and as role models who inspire millions to contribute to building and empowering communities. The results of this campaign, including 170,000 humanitarian and community actions, prove that we are capable of redefining the role of technology and media to serve humanity."

Al Gergawi added: "By launching this global movement, the 1 Billion Followers Summit reaffirms its noble message and its ability to unite content creators and influencers worldwide around a shared humanitarian purpose, providing creatives with a platform to exercise their influence responsibly."

He stated: "MBRGI’s support for this global movement stems from our humanitarian role and commitment to further promoting inspiring social impact and advancing community development, particularly through content creation, which has proven to be one of the most influential forces shaping the future. Through this campaign, creators’ messages transcend screens to plant seeds of goodness everywhere, offering an inspiring model for every individual to leave their mark through giving."

Sunny Varkey said: "We are proud to be part of this global movement, which we support to reinforce our belief that education is one of the most powerful tools for changing the world for the better. Focusing this collective energy of content creators toward a single goal, namely addressing the most pressing societal challenges, inspires us all to unite our efforts to make a real difference in people’s lives. This movement within the 1 Billion Followers Summit marks the beginning of a new era of impactful digital humanitarian action."

MrBeast said: "What we are witnessing today at the 1 Billion Followers Summit renews our belief in our ability to change people’s lives for the better. Today, my team and I selected twenty of the world’s most influential content creators to prove that, when united, creators possess extraordinary power. Our plans through this movement aim to inspire an entire generation to take action and create meaningful change that has a clear and lasting impact on communities. We are filled with excitement and anticipation, because what we will achieve alongside these 20 creators will set new rules and show the world that purposeful content is the strongest tool we have to shape the future."

The presence of senior UAE officials, international foundations, and major online personalities at the 1 Billion Followers Summit 2026 highlights the country’s interest in aligning digital media with humanitarian goals. With 20 selected creators now preparing further initiatives under the "1 Billion Acts of Kindness" campaign, organisers aim to maintain momentum and expand participation in community-focused projects worldwide.
