Global Healthspan Summit 2025 Launches In Riyadh With Minister Of National Guard Present

The second Global Healthspan Summit (GHS 2025) commenced in Riyadh, with Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard and chairman of the Hevolution Foundation's executive committee, in attendance. Organised by the Hevolution Foundation, this year's summit is themed "Architecting the Future." It gathers over 2,500 participants and 150 international speakers to discuss healthy aging.

The summit aims to tackle the pressing issue of aging, considered one of today's most urgent challenges alongside climate change. Participants will engage in discussions to develop practical solutions for a prosperous future for both individuals and communities. The event also seeks to foster science-based dialogues that can stimulate innovative research and expand entrepreneurship.

Global Healthspan Summit Begins in Riyadh

Dr. Mehmood Khan, chief executive of the Hevolution Foundation, announced significant investments during the summit's opening. A total of $55 million has been allocated to four biotechnology startups focusing on treatments for healthy aging. These investments are part of Saudi Arabia's efforts to lead global initiatives addressing aging challenges.

The new investments align with the Saudi National Biotech Strategy, which aims to position the Kingdom as a global biotechnology hub. This strategy seeks to achieve high self-sufficiency levels while fostering a transformative approach to aging issues. The initiative underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to driving significant advancements in biotechnology.
