Global Healthcare Leadership Program Showcases UAE’s Innovative Healthcare Model And Digital Transformation Efforts

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) recently hosted a delegation as part of the Global Healthcare Leadership Program in the UAE. This initiative, organised by the Government Experience Exchange Office of the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, aimed to foster knowledge exchange and showcase best practices in healthcare management. Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Olama, MoHAP's Under-Secretary, along with other senior officials, participated in this event.

During their visit, delegates were introduced to MoHAP’s significant strides in digital transformation and innovation within the health sector. They also learned about the Ministry's efforts to enhance preventive care and address various health challenges. The visit underscores the UAE's commitment to fostering dialogue with international health leaders and building healthier societies.

UAE’s Healthcare Model Highlighted in Global Programme

The UAE's achievements in public health, digital transformation of health services, and preventive care were highlighted during discussions. These initiatives align with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, aiming for flexible and sustainable health systems globally. The delegation explored strategies to enhance future readiness and tackle global health challenges effectively.

The visit also included insights into the UAE’s plans for health system governance. Delegates were briefed on coordination between local and federal health authorities and received an overview of strategic projects and achievements. The focus was on creating integrated knowledge systems through collaboration with international health leaders.

A field tour allowed delegates to visit key facilities like the Ministry’s Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Centre, which is crucial for health preparedness in the UAE. They also toured the National Centre for Regulating Human Organs and Tissues Transplantation under the Hayat programme, recognised for its ethical leadership in medical practices.

The delegation learned about the UAE’s regulatory framework ensuring quality healthcare services nationwide. They explored community prevention strategies and proactive responses to epidemics and emergencies, reflecting a robust public health system.

Minister Abdulrahman bin Mohamed Al Owais emphasised that this visit reflects international confidence in the UAE’s evolving health strategies. He noted global interest in forming strategic partnerships with the UAE, particularly in digital health and artificial intelligence sectors.

Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Olama remarked that such visits strengthen the UAE’s role in shaping future healthcare worldwide by fostering international partnerships for knowledge exchange and joint innovation. "We will spare no effort to contribute to global health transformation by sharing our expertise," he stated.
