Global Futures Society Welcomes 20 New Members, Expanding To 60 Institutions Globally
The Museum of the Future has revealed that 20 international organisations have joined the Global Futures Society, increasing its membership to 60 foresight institutions worldwide. This announcement was made during the Dubai Future Forum 2024, which is recognised as the largest gathering of futurists and foresight practitioners globally. The expanded network met on Wednesday to discuss collaboration opportunities and plan new initiatives.
Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), stated, "The continuous expansion of this global network of foresight institutions reflects the growing international interest in Dubai’s and the UAE’s approach to future-building. The Global Futures Society was established in line with the country’s commitment to facilitating strategic partnerships that contribute to designing a better future."

Established at the Dubai Future Forum in 2022, the Global Futures Society has seen remarkable growth. By 2023, it had welcomed 36 institutions from 17 countries, bringing its total membership to 40. Headquartered at the Museum of the Future, it plays a pivotal role in making Dubai a global centre for foresight and collaboration.
The society serves as an incubator for global institutions and experts interested in imagining and designing the future. Its members engage in knowledge-sharing programmes, training courses, and workshops aimed at fostering long-term design thinking and strategic planning.
