Under the auspices of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Saudi Arabia is set to host the fourth edition of the Global Cybersecurity Forum (GCF) on October 2-3, 2024. The prestigious event, themed "Advancing Collective Action in Cyberspace", aims to enhance global cooperation in the cybersecurity domain. It will convene thought leaders, policymakers, and key international figures to tackle critical cyberspace challenges. This year's forum seeks to build upon the achievements of its predecessors, aiming to strengthen international ties in combating cyber threats.
The GCF 2024 will delve into a variety of pressing topics through dialogue sessions under five main sub-themes. These include "Beyond Cyber Discord", focusing on fostering trust for better international cyber cooperation; "Cyber Psychology", exploring human behavior within cyberspace; "Cyber Social Fabric", aimed at enhancing development and inclusivity online to narrow the divide among communities and nations; "Thriving Cyber Economy", discussing the role of cyber economy in fostering development through robust markets and resilient ecosystems; and "New Cyber Frontier", examining the impact of emerging technologies on progress and innovation in cyberspace.

The forum is recognized as a pivotal global platform that unites decision-makers from both government and private sectors, cybersecurity experts, academics, and NGOs. The collective goal is to bolster cybersecurity measures, contribute to economic and social advancement, and support worldwide cybersecurity initiatives. The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA)’s commitment to this cause underscores the importance of collaborative efforts in securing cyberspace for future generations.
As digital threats become increasingly sophisticated, forums like the GCF play a crucial role in shaping a secure digital future. By promoting dialogue and cooperation, the event aims to address not only current cybersecurity challenges but also anticipate future threats. This proactive approach is essential for creating a resilient cyber environment that supports global economic and social development.
The GCF 2024 promises to be a significant milestone in the journey towards a safer digital world. By gathering a diverse group of stakeholders, it aims to catalyze action and foster a unified approach to cybersecurity.
