Global City Dammam Inauguration Bolsters Eastern Region Investment And Tourism
Global City Dammam is set to become a major hub for tourism, entertainment, and culture in the Eastern Region, with authorities expecting the destination to strengthen Dammam’s status in the Gulf, draw thousands of visitors each day, and support wide economic growth.
The project extends over more than 650,000 square metres, with the initial development phase covering about 250,000 square metres. Once operations reach full scale, Global City Dammam is expected to welcome around 25,000 visitors daily and generate many high-quality jobs.

Developers designed Global City Dammam around a cultural and entertainment concept that brings different civilizations together in one destination. International pavilions present each participating country’s character through architecture, traditional food, and heritage products, giving visitors of all ages a varied cultural experience.
To date, 15 international pavilions have been completed, representing countries from the Gulf, Asia, Europe, and Africa. These pavilions, together with Saudi Arabia, bring the number of participating countries to 16, arranged into several zones that highlight their distinct cultures and traditions.
Eastern Region Governor Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz inaugurated and toured the Global City Dammam project during a ceremony attended by officials, business leaders, and investors from Thailand. During the visit, Prince Saud received detailed briefings on the project’s facilities and components.
Prince Saud stated that the Global City project shows a modern investment approach and underlines the Eastern Region’s strong economic and tourism capabilities. The Governor noted that similar initiatives expand economic activity, improve cities’ attractiveness, open new investment channels, and create more employment opportunities.
Prince Saud also pointed to the Eastern Region’s strategic location, advanced infrastructure, and wide range of investment prospects, which together make the area suitable for major projects and capable of attracting local, regional, and international investors interested in large tourism and entertainment ventures.
The Global City Dammam scheme supports broader urban development programmes that aim to increase private-sector involvement in high-quality projects and encourage domestic, Gulf, and international investment. These measures are expected to raise regional competitiveness and improve the performance and efficiency of tourism and entertainment services.
Global City Dammam tourism services and quality of life
Planners expect Global City Dammam to benefit from the Eastern Region’s strategic geographic location and the progress already achieved in quality-of-life indicators. The project is anticipated to stimulate economic activity, enhance tourism services, and contribute to better living standards for residents and visitors.
