German Leaders Meet In Ras Al Khaimah As RAKEZ Fosters Industrial Growth
Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) and the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry & Commerce (AHK) recently held a Business Breakfast in Ras Al Khaimah. The gathering focused on stronger engagement with German businesses in the UAE. Organisers used the event to underline Ras Al Khaimah’s role as a strategic base for manufacturers serving regional markets.
More than 50 senior executives, manufacturers, and decision-makers from the German business community attended at RAKEZ’s Compass Coworking Centre. The networking session highlighted Ras Al Khaimah’s industrial ecosystem, transport links, and supportive regulations. Speakers stressed how these factors help companies plan long-term growth, maintain high standards, and manage sustainable operations from a Ras Al Khaimah base.

RAKEZ currently hosts around 1,200 German companies across diverse industrial and commercial sectors. This concentration of firms reflects Ras Al Khaimah’s appeal as a competitive production hub. Businesses gain access to robust infrastructure, strategic market reach across the wider region, and support programmes designed to help companies set up, operate, and expand from within the UAE.
RAKEZ Group CEO Ramy Jallad said, "Ras Al Khaimah continues to strengthen its position as a preferred base for German manufacturers looking to combine quality, efficiency, and regional reach. Through RAKEZ, we support businesses with the right infrastructure, streamlined processes, and a business-friendly ecosystem that enables operational excellence, innovation, resilient supply chains, and sustainable growth from the UAE."
The Business Breakfast featured a panel titled "Made in RAK: Driving Industrial Growth and Innovation." The discussion examined how Ras Al Khaimah is serving as a manufacturing platform for German companies targeting Gulf and wider regional customers. Panellists included Kludi MEA Vice President Imad Kokash, Knauf GCC CEO Paul Button, and RAKEZ Chief Customer Experience Officer Ian Hunt.
During the panel, Kokash and Button outlined how their Ras Al Khaimah plants follow German manufacturing benchmarks. They emphasised quality control, disciplined procedures, and operational excellence. Panellists also explained how production in the UAE can shorten delivery routes, optimise supply chains, and help reduce carbon footprints, while still reaching customers efficiently across multiple regional markets.
Speakers at the event further pointed to supply chain benefits specific to Ras Al Khaimah. They highlighted the UAE government’s supportive stance and RAKEZ’s role in simplifying company establishment, easing day-to-day operations, and backing future expansion plans. German Emirati Joint Council for Industry & Commerce (AHK) CEO Dr. Martin Henkelmann said, "German companies have long established a solid footprint in the UAE, attracted by its strategic location, robust economy, and business-friendly environment. In recent years, Ras Al Khaimah has stood out with remarkable growth, drawing more German investors and companies to the emirate. Ras Al Khaimah continues to invest in infrastructure and services that support business expansion, highlighting its potential as a destination for future German investments."
