Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze Lauds UAE’s Progress As A Model For Global Cooperation
Georgia's Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, addressed the World Governments Summit (WGS) by emphasising the shared visions between Georgia and the UAE. He called for global cooperation to advance progress. "The UAE and Georgia hold strategic positions as global crossroads: Georgia serves as a vital gateway between the east and west, while the UAE places a central role in connecting key global visions," said Kobakhidze.
He highlighted how both nations have become essential hubs for international trade and logistics due to their strategic locations. This positioning has fostered growth in their partnership, opening new avenues for collaboration. The summit serves as a crucial platform for world leaders to shape future policies and drive positive change.
Kobakhidze stressed that open dialogue is essential for building mutual understanding and making informed decisions. He urged attendees to use WGS as an opportunity to strengthen partnerships. The prime minister shared that Georgia's achievements are inspired by the UAE's progress, which exemplifies how strategic vision can lead to lasting prosperity.

Despite geopolitical challenges, Georgia experienced significant economic growth with a 9.7% average increase from 2021 to 2023, continuing into 2024. According to the International Monetary Fund, Georgia is set to achieve the fastest economic growth among regional and European countries in the medium term.
In 2024, Georgia saw a 7.8% rise in goods exports, reaching $6.6 billion, while tourist revenues grew by 7.3%, hitting a record $4.4 billion. This economic stability has enabled Georgia to expand its international partnerships, with the UAE emerging as a key strategic ally.
Kobakhidze praised the UAE as an example of economic success through innovation and sustainable growth. "UAE stands as a remarkable example of economic success in a nation that has demonstrated innovation, resilience, and sustainable growth," he added.
The summit underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in shaping a prosperous future for all nations involved. By leveraging strategic partnerships and fostering open discussions, countries like Georgia and the UAE can continue to drive global progress effectively.
