General Authority For Awqaf Registers Over 11,000 Endowments And Services By Q3 2024
The General Authority for Awqaf (GAA) has reported significant progress in its endowment services. By the third quarter of 2024, over 11,000 endowments were registered, and more than 30,000 related services were provided to beneficiaries. Additionally, over 9,000 national number (700) certificates were issued. These efforts align with Saudi Vision 2030's goals of enhancing the endowment sector's role in sustainable development.
Since early 2020, the GAA has offered an online platform for endowment registration. This initiative aims to create a comprehensive database of all registered endowments. It also seeks to improve user experience and service quality while saving time for beneficiaries. The platform supports the preservation and governance of endowments.

The GAA's online services are designed to streamline the endowment process. They provide legal identity through national number (700) certificates, which empower donors and trustees. This legal recognition allows beneficiaries to access digital services from government and private entities, strengthening the sustainability of endowments.
Endowment registration also includes issuing official certificates that protect donor rights and facilitate opening bank accounts for financial transactions. This process enhances the overall experience for beneficiaries by ensuring compliance with donor conditions and contributing to the objectives of each endowment.
The authority is dedicated to meeting all regulatory requirements before issuing any endowment certificate. This commitment ensures that every registration adheres to necessary standards, safeguarding both donors' interests and community benefits.
The GAA's initiatives aim to motivate donors and trustees by simplifying legal processes. By providing a national number (700), they ensure that endowments have a recognized legal status, promoting their development and sustainability within the community.
Through these efforts, the GAA not only preserves existing endowments but also encourages new contributions. The streamlined processes save time and effort for all parties involved, aligning with broader national development goals under Saudi Vision 2030.
