Awqaf Authority's Initiatives Improve Hajj Pilgrims' Experience
The General Authority of Awqaf is committed to supporting visitors to the two holy mosques by financing and implementing various initiatives in collaboration with Hajj and Umrah authorities. Numerous educational, cultural, and awareness programs are conducted, many utilising modern technology. With millions of pilgrims visiting the holy sites, the authority has led multilingual guidance initiatives to assist Muslims in fulfilling their religious duties and navigating the holy sites.
These initiatives include documentaries such as "The Story of a Pilgrim," which focuses on the Hajj journey and holy sites. Additionally, awareness films shown on "Saudia" planes explain the Hajj and Umrah rituals comprehensively. The authority also launched the "Beneficiary Awareness Survey" initiative in collaboration with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. This survey aims to assess the knowledge and awareness levels among beneficiaries and relevant authorities, monitor inquiries, and submit recommendations to address potential crises that pilgrims may face.

The authority has also contributed to an awareness project designed to enhance pilgrims' understanding in 14 different languages. This project aims to enrich the pilgrims' experience and help them discover the Kingdom. For instance, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Translation Project translates the Arafat sermon into multiple languages, benefiting millions of people worldwide each year.
These efforts reflect a comprehensive approach to ensuring that pilgrims are well-informed and supported throughout their spiritual journey. By leveraging modern technology and multilingual resources, the General Authority of Awqaf continues to play a crucial role in facilitating a smooth and enriching experience for all visitors.
