GEA Launches Entertainment Innovations Program To Enhance Creativity In Saudi Arabia's Entertainment Sector

The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has introduced "Entertainment Innovations," a program to boost creativity and innovation in Saudi Arabia's entertainment industry. This initiative aims to empower talented individuals and entrepreneurs to create practical solutions that will enhance the sector's growth and global competitiveness. Registration for this program is now open, offering a platform that combines entrepreneurship, creativity, and technology.

Participants will form diverse teams with over 100 individuals, bringing together various skills and expertise. These teams will receive guidance from mentors and industry experts as they develop their ideas. The program includes several stages: registration on the GEA website, applicant screening, team selection for a virtual bootcamp, and a challenge phase. This phase involves three days of intensive project work, ending with final presentations before judging panels.

"Entertainment Innovations" emphasizes enhancing participants' skills in building business models, defining brand identity, developing prototypes, and designing go-to-market strategies. The program aims to transform creative ideas into sustainable projects aligned with the entertainment sector's development goals in Saudi Arabia. It also fosters collaboration among creators, investors, and experts through an integrated innovation journey.

The program has three main objectives: raising awareness of the competition as a platform supporting innovation in entertainment; attracting specialized talent in technology, design, and entrepreneurship; and expanding the base of young creatives interested in the sector. These efforts aim to position entertainment as a space for production, economic impact, and knowledge creation.

At least SAR300,000 in prizes will be awarded to the top three winners. Additionally, winning projects will receive services and support valued at over $1 million. "Entertainment Innovations" is one of GEA’s strategic programs dedicated to cultivating a creative ecosystem in Saudi Arabia. It empowers the new generation to transform their ideas into real-world projects that meet market needs.

This initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 by building a knowledge-driven, innovative, and globally competitive entertainment sector. By fostering creativity and collaboration among participants, it seeks to advance the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 through practical solutions that contribute to economic growth.
