Riyadh Season Card Wembley Edition Expands To Host 96,000 Fans

General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Chairman Turki bin Abdulmohsen Al Al-Shikh announced today that the "Riyadh Season Card Wembley Edition" boxing matches will now accommodate 96,000 spectators. The main event features Daniel Dubois defending his IBF heavyweight title against Anthony Joshua, a two-time former heavyweight champion. This fight is scheduled for Saturday, September 21.

Previously, general admission tickets for the first Riyadh Season 2024 boxing fight in London were sold out. However, with the approval to increase the number of tickets for Wembley Stadium, additional tickets will be available for sale tomorrow at 12 noon UK time via Ticketmaster.com.

The main Riyadh Season card in London will feature an all-British six-fight lineup. This event is expected to be the largest boxing event in Wembley Stadium's history, setting a new record for the United Kingdom and Europe. Attendance is set to surpass the previous record of 94,000 spectators achieved during Tyson Fury's fight against Dillian Whyte at the same stadium in April 2022.

In addition to the Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois fight for the IBF heavyweight title, the card will also include a matchup between Anthony Cacace and Josh Warrington for the IBF super-featherweight title. Another notable fight on the card is between Joshua Buatsi and Willie Hutchinson for the WBO interim light heavyweight title.

Other fights on the card will include contests between Tyler Denny and Hamza Sheeraz at welterweight, Liam Smith and Josh Kelly at super welterweight, and Mark Chamberlain and Josh Padley at lightweight. The highly anticipated fight will be available for viewing via pay-per-view on DAZN, Sky Sports, and TNT Sports.
