GEA Chairman Turki Alalshikh Unveils Over SAR 4 Billion In New Entertainment Agreements At Joy Forum

The Joy Forum 2025, a major global event for the entertainment sector, commenced on Thursday at Boulevard City in Riyadh. General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Chairman Turki Alalshikh attended the launch. He highlighted that Saudi Arabia's progress in entertainment is due to the support of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Alalshikh attributed the sector's rapid growth to Saudi Vision 2030 and ongoing leadership support. He announced that the first phase of the Qiddiya project, including Six Flags Qiddiya, will open later this year. This project is a key initiative under HRH the Crown Prince's national transformation plan.

GEA Announces SAR 4 Billion in Agreements

The GEA chairman revealed new investment and development agreements worth over SAR4 billion for next year. These agreements will fund various entertainment projects and events across the Kingdom. Alalshikh stressed that despite starting in 2016, Vision 2030 has already achieved significant milestones.

He noted that these achievements have positioned Saudi Arabia as a top destination for international events and tourism. The Kingdom has become one of the world's most attractive tourism hubs, drawing visitors from around the globe.

Alalshikh praised collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, which has boosted visitor numbers and increased tourism revenue. Last year, Saudi Arabia ranked second in regional tourism revenue. He also acknowledged cooperation with the Ministry of Culture in promoting cultural and creative events.

This partnership has supported numerous initiatives, enhancing Saudi Arabia's cultural landscape. The Kingdom continues to host major international events, further solidifying its status as a global entertainment leader.
