GDRFA Dubai Highlights Innovative Border Management Technologies At RSO 2025 Forum In Bangkok

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai took part in the RSO 2025 Forum on Border Management Priorities and Challenges. This event was held in Bangkok, Thailand, in January 2025. It brought together representatives from various governments and international organisations that focus on border security and port management.

During the forum, the GDRFA Dubai delegation presented cutting-edge technologies used at passport control checkpoints. Major Hashem Abdulrazzaq Al Hashimi, Head of Technical Development and Improvement at the Future Ports Administration, along with Captain Abdullah Ali Al Kamali, Head of Support Services at the Smart Command and Control Center, were part of the delegation. They delivered detailed presentations on advanced screening systems at Dubai Airports.

Their presentations highlighted the importance of technological integration in strengthening institutional resilience.
