GDRFA Dubai Expands Engagement With Closer To You Initiative At Global Village

The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) is launching the "Closer to You" initiative at Global Village, running from 5th January to 5th February 2026. The strategic campaign places government services inside a major community destination, giving residents and visitors direct, on-ground access.

During the month-long presence at Global Village, the "Closer to You" initiative operates as an open community hub. The platform brings together service provision, information, and interactive demonstrations, reflecting the UAE’s people-focused approach while allowing diverse audiences to experience GDRFA Dubai processes in a single, accessible space.

GDRFA Dubai Launches Closer to You

The integrated platform within the "Closer to You" initiative features dedicated zones explaining key GDRFA Dubai government services. Visitors can learn about Entry Permit and Golden Residency services, Identity and Nationality services, and Work Permit services, alongside specialised areas such as Children’s Passport Control, the 04 Platform, the Red Carpet Corridor, and the Happiness Card.

GDRFA Dubai is using the "Closer to You" initiative to highlight simplified procedures and a customer-first mindset across government services. Information points and guided interactions show how processes are streamlined, while staff provide direct support, helping visitors understand options, requirements, and service channels in a clear and practical way at Global Village.

The "Closer to You" initiative also focuses on a family-oriented experience around GDRFA Dubai services. The platform includes interactive activities, educational games, daily surprises, and weekly prize draws, turning the Global Village presence into a shared community space that encourages participation from children, adults, residents, and tourists together.

Through the "Closer to You" initiative, GDRFA Dubai aims to build a longer-term relationship with the community beyond routine service delivery. Direct interaction, active listening to people’s needs, and continuous engagement at Global Village are expected to increase satisfaction, happiness, and trust in government services across Dubai and the wider UAE.
