Saudi National Day: Dubai Airports Celebrates Bilateral Ties, Officers Greet Guests With Flowers And Coffee

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA) marked the 94th Saudi National Day, celebrated annually on September 23, with a series of events. These included illuminating the smart gates in green to signify the strong ties and strategic partnership between the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

At Dubai Airports, passport control officers greeted Saudi visitors with flowers, flags, Arabic coffee, dates, and souvenirs. This warm welcome symbolised the exceptional relationship between the two nations, which share common religious, linguistic, and cultural bonds. Frontline officers at GDRFA Dubai wore sashes featuring both countries' flags to further enhance this festive atmosphere.

The celebrations also included lighting up smart gates in green and distributing gifts to children by beloved cartoon characters "Salem and Salama." Arriving visitors received commemorative gift boxes along with a SIM card from du, part of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company. Saudi passports were stamped with the 94th Saudi National Day logo and the phrase (#UAE_Saudi_Together_Forever).

Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, highlighted the deep-rooted relations with Saudi Arabia. He noted that these ties are strengthened by UAE’s leadership and rulers. Al Marri emphasised that Saudi travellers are always warmly welcomed in Dubai, making them feel at home.

He further mentioned that GDRFA Dubai ensures all facilities are available to expedite travel procedures for Saudi visitors during this significant national occasion. The Saudi National Day is particularly important due to its historical value and significance.
