GCTP Calls For Global Alliance Based On Social Justice And Sustainable Development At UPF World Summit 2025
Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan, who leads the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace (GCTP), has called for a global alliance rooted in social justice, transparency, and sustainable development. Speaking at the Asia Pacific Forum's second plenary session during the Universal Peace Federation's (UPF) World Summit 2025 in Seoul, South Korea, he highlighted the importance of adhering to international law.
Al Jarwan emphasised the need for accountability among nations that breach international agreements. He urged a unified global response to restore balance in world affairs. His speech underscored the necessity of holding states accountable to maintain international order and peace.

The ongoing crisis in the Gaza Strip was a focal point of Al Jarwan's address. He described the siege, killings, and destruction faced by Palestinians as a "flagrant violation of all international norms and treaties." He stressed the urgency of implementing United Nations resolutions to establish an independent Palestinian state.
In his concluding remarks, Al Jarwan asserted that peace and tolerance are essential rather than optional. He stated: "Hatred does not build nations, nor does it achieve security or create a sustainable economy. Peace is not a luxury — it is an essential condition for any real prosperity." His words highlighted peace as crucial for genuine progress.
Al Jarwan urged global leaders to transform discussions on tolerance into concrete policies and practices. This transformation is vital for creating a more stable and humane future. His call to action aimed at turning ideals into reality through institutional changes worldwide.
