The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has revealed 33 key partners for the ICAO 4th Global Implementation Support Symposium (GISS 2025) and the inaugural Global Sustainable Aviation Marketplace (GSAM). Scheduled in Abu Dhabi from February 10 to 12, the event is under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It aims to foster international cooperation and innovation in sustainable aviation.
Over 1,500 aviation professionals from ICAO's 193 member states will attend. They will focus on enhancing collaboration and sharing expertise to support environmental transformations in aviation. The event will include forums and discussions with representatives from governments, industries, organisations, companies, and thought leaders. The UAE hosting this event is notable, especially with the launch of GSAM to unite global efforts for sustainable development goals.

Global Sustainable Aviation Marketplace
The GSAM is a pioneering UAE initiative aimed at integrating stakeholders involved in sustainable aviation fuel production and distribution. Organised with the ‘Sustainable Aviation Future Congress’ of MENA's Sustainable Aviation Futures, it seeks to create a platform for developing solutions that meet civil aviation needs sustainably.
This edition marks the first time GISS is hosted in the Middle East. It focuses on sustainability and AI application within civil aviation. The event aims to drive global efforts towards achieving sustainable development goals by uniting various stakeholders across the industry.
The symposium promises to be a landmark event for advancing sustainable practices within global civil aviation. By bringing together diverse participants from around the world under one roof in Abu Dhabi next year it sets a precedent for future collaborations aimed at transforming this vital sector sustainably.
