The General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA) is conducting a four-day training session named Insurance Kit – Customer Happiness. This event, held from 21st to 24th April at its Abu Dhabi headquarters, aims to boost knowledge and cooperation among pension authorities in the GCC region.
More than 30 representatives from pension and social security bodies in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, and the UAE are attending. The training focuses on improving technical and administrative skills while discussing future challenges. It also aims to strengthen professional relationships among GCC pension institutions.

The initiative is part of a proposal by the GCC's Permanent Technical Committee for Civil Retirement and Social Security Authorities. It was approved during the 21st meeting of civil retirement and social insurance agency heads in the GCC. The course provides a platform for exchanging expertise and exploring best practices in insurance and social security.
Hind Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Pensions Sector at GPSSA, stated: "This training course has been organised as part of the GCC's broader commitment to developing the skills of employees in the pension and social security sector, empowering them with tools and expertise to improve their work environments and deliver high-quality services to stakeholders."
The first two days feature a course titled "Future Skills and Professional Talent," led by Dr. Salem Al Salem, an Emirati expert in HR development. He specialises in government performance and policy design. This session aims to equip participants with essential skills for future challenges.
On the third day, Mohamed Saqer Al Hammadi will lead a session called "Basics and Introduction to Social Insurance." As Head of the Pension Operations Department at GPSSA, he will discuss customer journeys in social security and how to create insurance systems tailored to their needs.
Innovative Methods for Customer Happiness
The final day includes a session by Sharifa Mohamed Alblooshi, Head of the Customer Happiness Department at GPSSA. Titled "The Journey to Excellence in Customer Happiness," it highlights best practices in customer service while showcasing the UAE's leading model.
