GCC's Brotherhood And Solidarity Championed By Bahraini Foreign Minister
Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Bahrain's Minister of Foreign Affairs, reaffirmed the Gulf Cooperation Council’s (GCC) dedication to the security and stability of its member states. He highlighted the council's focus on economic citizenship, progress, prosperity, and constructive cooperation to foster regional and international peace and cultural dialogue.
Speaking to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), Dr. Al Zayani described the GCC as a model of comprehensive and sustainable strategic partnership. He praised the council's continuous achievements that benefit all GCC citizens, emphasising its strong cultural and civilisational values. The minister also noted the GCC's impactful role on regional and international stages through balanced diplomacy.

Dr. Al Zayani congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and other GCC leaders on the 43rd anniversary of the council's founding on 25 May 1981. He reiterated Bahrain's commitment, as a founding member of the GCC and current chair of the Arab Summit, to advancing Gulf developmental achievements and deepening partnerships to resolve regional and international conflicts.
The foreign minister lauded the GCC's success as a pivotal partner in promoting regional and international peace and stability. He highlighted the council's support for sustainable development goals through strategic partnerships and dialogues with various countries and international groups.
Dr. Al Zayani affirmed that the GCC countries are well-positioned to progress towards a Gulf union. He cited their strong historical ties, geographic and cultural proximity, shared religion, language, common goals, and destiny as key factors. The minister acknowledged visionary leadership and unity among the people as crucial in facing challenges and achieving common aspirations for enhanced security, stability, sustainable development, and comprehensive prosperity.
