GCC Secretary General Highlights Vision For Strong And Diversified Economy Among Member States

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, highlighted the importance of a robust and varied economy for GCC states. He stated that this vision aims to sustain growth and generate employment for young people in the region. Albudaiwi emphasised that economic integration and sharing expertise among GCC countries are crucial to realising this ambitious goal.

During the 53rd meeting of the GCC Industrial Cooperation Committee in Doha, Albudaiwi praised the committee's efforts. The meeting was led by Qatar's Minister of Commerce and Industry, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani, with participation from GCC industry ministers. Albudaiwi acknowledged their role in enhancing industrial cooperation and integration, aligning with GCC leaders' directives.

GCC Focuses on Strong Diversified Economy

Albudaiwi stressed the shared commitment to advancing the industrial sector as a key factor for sustainable development and economic prosperity in the region. He pointed out that there is an increasing need to strengthen manufacturing industries within the GCC. This includes raising the added value of available resources and improving competitiveness in global markets.

These should support innovation and encourage investment in modern technology and industrial infrastructure. Albudaiwi reiterated the GCC General Secretariat's dedication to fully supporting industrial integration among member states.
