GCC Permanent Committee For Statistical Work Conducts 13th Meeting To Enhance Regional Cooperation

The 13th meeting of the Permanent Committee for Statistical Work of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) took place at the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) headquarters in Riyadh. GASTAT President Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Dosari welcomed heads of national statistical agencies from GCC countries. He highlighted the crucial role of the GCC Statistical Center (GCC-STAT) in fostering cooperation and enhancing Gulf integration in statistics.

Al-Dosari emphasised the need to unify statistical efforts and develop joint mechanisms to align with global advancements. He reiterated GASTAT's dedication to collaborating with GCC statistical bodies to create a cohesive statistical system that supports the development visions and programs of GCC nations. This integration is seen as vital for bolstering economic and social growth while improving the region’s standing in international reports.
