GCC Horticulture Pavilion Awarded For Exceptional Visitor Services At Expo 2023 Doha
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Horticulture Pavilion has been honoured with the Hospitality Award in the self-built pavilion category at Expo 2023 Doha. This prestigious accolade is a testament to the exceptional services and staff that have significantly enhanced the visitor experience through guided tours. The award ceremony, which took place recently, celebrated the pavilions that made outstanding contributions throughout the six-month exhibition.
Among the dignitaries present at the ceremony were Minister of Municipality and Chairman of the National Committee for Expo 2023 Doha Horticulture, Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiya, Bureau International des Expositions President Alain Berger, and International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) President Leonardo Capitanio. The ceremony was also attended by several officials, heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Qatar, and pavilion commissioners.

Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, the GCC's Expo 2023 Doha commissioner-general for horticulture, accepted the award on behalf of the pavilion. The selection process involved a panel of ten specialized judges from Qatar, the International Bureau of Exhibitions, and AIPH, highlighting the rigorous criteria met by the GCC Horticulture Pavilion to secure this honour.
This recognition underscores the GCC Horticulture Pavilion's commitment to providing an unparalleled visitor experience at Expo 2023 Doha. Through its innovative approach to hospitality and engagement, the pavilion has set a high standard for future exhibitions.
