The General Court of Audit (GCA) recently concluded its participation in the LEAP25 conference, a major technology event held from February 9 to 12 in Malham, Riyadh. During the event, GCA's President, Dr. Hussam Alangari, presented the digital strategy for 2025–2027. The GCA also highlighted its digital transformation efforts through an interactive exhibition.

A significant feature was the upgraded digital audit system, Shamel 2.0. "This system covers all stages of auditing, from planning to report issuance, and serves as a pioneering platform that accelerates the development of digital solutions and supports the adoption of emerging technologies and AI," stated the release.

Visitors engaged with Aref, GCA’s AI-powered smart auditor assistant designed to aid audit teams by providing instant responses and accurate recommendations. Aref also offers a comprehensive knowledge base to enhance audit operations. This tool exemplifies GCA's commitment to integrating AI into its processes.

The introduction of the Shamel 2.0 smartphone application was another highlight at the booth. This app allows audited entities to monitor audit progress and reports effortlessly while equipping auditors with smart tools to boost productivity and meet audit requirements effectively.

The digital strategy also emphasizes developing compatible digital products that align with corporate governance standards. By focusing on these areas, GCA aims to achieve sustainable digital excellence in its operations.
