The number of volunteers at the holy sites reached 34,540. These volunteers contributed a significant total of 2,134,398 hours during the Hajj season. Their efforts played a crucial role in supporting the pilgrimage activities.

The Makkah Route Initiative benefited 314,337 male and female pilgrims this year. This represents 20.9% of all external pilgrims arriving from eight countries. Launched in the 2017 Hajj season, this initiative aims to simplify travel procedures for pilgrims.

GASTAT's publication relies on administrative records from the Ministry of Interior. These records provide details on pilgrim numbers and characteristics within the pilgrimage's temporal and spatial boundaries. The data was collected and analyzed following statistical procedures used over the past five years.

This comprehensive analysis ensures accurate insights into the demographics and logistics of the Hajj season. It helps in understanding how resources are allocated to serve both internal and external pilgrims effectively.

The detailed statistics offer valuable information about the gender distribution among workers serving during Hajj. The high percentage of male workers highlights their predominant role in managing pilgrimage operations.

Overall, these statistics provide a clear picture of the scale and organisation involved in facilitating one of Islam's most significant religious events each year.
