Dr. Al Falasi highlighted that the agreement underscores a mutual commitment to enhancing sports collaboration through various means such as sports science, community sports promotion, and nurturing competitive sports. It aims to improve opportunities for athletes and encourage their participation in regional and international events. "The agreement is pivotal in our continuous efforts to elevate the sports sector by forming alliances with regional and global sports entities," Dr. Al Falasi stated.

On his part, Ario Ariotedjo expressed that the MoU is a testament to both countries' dedication to advancing sports and strengthening bilateral ties. "Through this MoU, we are setting a foundation for extensive cooperation in sports," Ariotedjo said, emphasizing the exchange of coaches, athletes, sports management expertise, and support for hosting global sporting events.

The MoU outlines several key avenues for reinforcing sports collaboration between the UAE and Indonesia. These include official visits by government officials, experts, athletes, coaches, and researchers; exchange of experiences, knowledge, skills, technologies, information, publications, data, and educational resources; and capacity-building programmes aimed at enhancing personnel qualifications in the sports sector through training programmes and workshops.

Both parties have committed to promoting a wide array of sports categories including community-based activities, competitive sports, as well as school and university level engagements. This comprehensive approach is designed to support mutual interests across various sports disciplines.

This agreement not only reinforces the long-standing bond between both nations but also acts as a catalyst for achieving shared objectives in sports development. It aligns with the visions and ambitions of both countries' leaderships towards attaining national achievements in sports and fostering global cooperation among their respective sports organisations.
