GAMI Coordinates Saudi Pavilion Participation At Airshow China 2024 To Showcase Military Advancements

The General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) is coordinating Saudi Arabia's participation in the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition, also known as Airshow China 2024. This event, one of the largest global aviation exhibitions, will occur from November 12 to 17 in Zhuhai, China. The Saudi pavilion will feature various government entities and national companies from the military industries sector.

Saudi Arabia's involvement in international events like this aims to enhance its standing among G20 nations and foster international partnerships. The Kingdom is committed to welcoming global investors and presenting key military sector objectives outlined in Saudi Vision 2030. The pavilion will showcase advancements in military technology, particularly in aviation.

The Saudi pavilion will highlight efforts to boost national military manufacturing capabilities. A key goal is to localise over 50% of government spending on military equipment and services by 2030. This initiative aims to introduce the potential of Saudi defense industries and promote a favourable investment environment with promising opportunities.

GAMI collaborates with partners, including government entities, to enable national and international companies in the military sector. This collaboration focuses on enhancing domestic manufacturing capabilities, contributing significantly to Saudi Arabia's economic prosperity while bolstering defense and security independence.

Several government entities are participating alongside GAMI at the exhibition. These include the Ministry of Investment, the General Authority for Defense Development, and public companies like the National Company for Mechanical Systems, WAKEB Company for AI and Autonomous Systems, Milestone Aviation Services, and Homat Al Watan Company.

GAMI works with public and private sector partners to support national economic growth through policies that create a favourable investment environment in military industries. "Investment in this sector is now more straightforward than ever," said a release from GAMI.

The release highlighted that market size, positive impacts on other sectors, competitive advantages, and GAMI's development of industrial participation programs contribute to this favourable environment. These factors make investing in Saudi Arabia's military industries more attractive than before.

This strategic participation underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to advancing its military industries sector while aligning with broader economic goals under Vision 2030. By showcasing its capabilities at Airshow China 2024, the Kingdom seeks to attract global interest and investment into its growing defense industry.
