The governor emphasized that this step directly supports knowledge transfer and strengthens national competencies. It aligns with the goal of localizing over 50% of military spending by 2030. Al-Ohali reiterated GAMI's commitment to supporting initiatives that bolster local content, offering opportunities for both national and international firms to contribute to a sustainable military-industrial system.

He further stated that GAMI's collaborative efforts with public and private sectors aim to expand cooperation with major global and local companies. This includes transferring and localizing advanced technologies to empower companies in their localization journey.

The establishment of BAE Systems Arabian Industries results from merging two prominent Saudi companies: BAE Systems Saudi Development and Training Company (SDT) and Saudi Maintenance and Supply Chain Management Company (SMSCMC). SDT specializes in capability building, while SMSCMC focuses on supply chain management and technical services.

"The inauguration of BAE Systems Arabian Industries marks a major step forward in enhancing local content and building national capabilities in the military industries sector," Al-Ohali said. He affirmed that this move opens broad prospects for collaboration between national and international entities, contributing to a robust military-industrial framework.

This strategic merger aims to create an integrated platform combining expertise from both companies, fostering growth within Saudi Arabia's defense sector. By leveraging these synergies, BAE Systems Arabian Industries is poised to play a pivotal role in achieving the objectives set out by Saudi Vision 2030.

The initiative reflects confidence in Saudi Arabia's investment climate, encouraging further partnerships between domestic and global players. Through such collaborations, GAMI seeks to enhance technological capabilities within the kingdom's defense industry, ensuring sustainable development aligned with national goals.
