GACA Index Highlights Top-Performing Airlines And Airports For July 2025
The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has released its air transport service index for July 2025, highlighting passenger complaints against airlines and airports. A total of 1,974 complaints were lodged with GACA during this period. Saudia emerged as the top airline with the fewest complaints, recording 31 per 100,000 passengers and achieving a 98% resolution rate.
Flynas secured the second position with 36 complaints per 100,000 passengers and a perfect 100% timely resolution rate. Flyadeal followed closely in third place, registering 40 complaints per 100,000 passengers and also maintaining a 100% timely resolution rate. The primary issues raised by passengers involved flights, baggage handling, and ticketing.

Among international airports handling over six million passengers annually, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh had the least number of complaints. It recorded only 23 complaints while ensuring a 100% timely resolution rate. In the category of international airports with fewer than six million passengers, Taif International Airport led with just three complaints and a similar resolution success.
King Saud Airport stood out in the domestic airport category by receiving only two complaints and resolving them all promptly. GACA's monthly report aims to assist travelers in making informed decisions and to foster competition among service providers.
To enhance service quality, GACA has introduced several initiatives. These include providing guidelines to airport partners and training airline staff on customer rights regulations. Passengers have multiple channels to file complaints around the clock, such as a unified call center (1929), WhatsApp (0115253333), social media platforms, and email.
This comprehensive approach ensures that travelers can voice their concerns easily while encouraging airlines and airports to improve their services continually. By addressing passenger grievances effectively, GACA strives to elevate the overall travel experience within Saudi Arabia's aviation sector.
