GACA Releases August 2025 Report On On-Time Performance Of Saudi Airports
The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has published its August 2025 report on airport and national carrier punctuality. This report evaluates flights arriving or departing within 15 minutes of their scheduled times, offering insights into flight schedule adherence. The findings aim to enhance the passenger experience by improving timeliness.
King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh led the category for airports serving over 15 million passengers with an 82% compliance rate. In the 5 to 15 million passengers category, King Fahd International Airport in Dammam achieved an 83% compliance rate. Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Tabuk topped the 2 to 5 million passengers category with a compliance rate of 85%.

AlUla International Airport excelled in the under 2 million passengers category, achieving a remarkable compliance rate of 95%. Among domestic airports, King Saud bin Abdulaziz Airport in Al-Baha was notable for its exceptional performance, securing a first-place ranking with a compliance rate of 98%.
Saudia Airlines reported punctuality rates of 82% for arrivals and 81% for departures. Flynas showed a commitment rate of 77% for arrivals and improved to 82% for departures. Flyadeal outperformed others in this segment, achieving an impressive punctuality rate of 83% for arrivals and an even higher rate of 87% for departures.
Route Compliance Highlights
The GACA report also spotlighted specific routes, both domestic and international. The domestic route between Tabuk and Riyadh demonstrated a high compliance rate of 92%. Similarly, the international route from Riyadh to Amman matched this performance with a compliance rate of 92%, reflecting strong adherence to schedules.
This focus on punctuality aligns with Saudi Arabia's National Aviation Strategy. The strategy aims to position the Kingdom as a leading regional aviation hub by enhancing operational standards, boosting efficiency, and improving service quality for travelers.
