Future Of Sustainable Mobility Explored By Industry Experts At Evolve Future Mobility Show 2025

The Evolve Future Mobility Show (EFMS 2025) is a major event in the Middle East focusing on electric vehicles and sustainable transport. It is held at Expo Centre Sharjah with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). The event gathers industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to discuss advancements in green mobility.

Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, emphasised the importance of EFMS 2025 as a platform for exchanging knowledge and fostering dialogue about sustainable mobility's future. "Expo Centre Sharjah is committed to hosting high-value trade and industrial events such as the Future Mobility Show. This landmark event brings together thought leaders and policymakers to foster networking and collaboration, in line with the UAE’s national directives and Sharjah’s strategic objectives to promote an innovation-led and sustainable economy," he added.

Sustainable Mobility Insights from EFMS 2025

Speakers at the summit highlighted how UAE government initiatives are crucial in speeding up electric vehicle adoption. They noted that the country's EV roadmap and progressive legislative framework set a regional standard for clean transport growth. These efforts also attract investment, reinforcing the UAE's global leadership in sustainability.

A key session titled "Bridging Policy and Industry – Driving Malaysia’s EV Adoption" was presented by Ismat Jaafar from the Malaysia Zero Emission Vehicle Association (MyZEVA). His presentation offered insights into Malaysia's journey towards increased EV adoption, stressing public-private partnerships' role in achieving sustainability goals.

The summit also addressed building a reliable EV charging infrastructure. A panel called "Industry Spotlight: EV Charging Infrastructure – Building the Backbone of Mobility" featured experts like Fadi Al Shaikh from Volt Charge and Anish Racherla from REGENY EV Charging. They discussed how strong charging networks can support smart mobility ecosystems and propel sustainable transport growth.

Another significant topic was fleet electrification, explored in a session led by Sunny Manjani, a Mobility Consultant at Frost & Sullivan. Titled "Fleet Electrification for a Sustainable Future," this discussion involved industry professionals sharing best practices and technological solutions to accelerate electric mobility in public transport and logistics.

Preparing the Future Workforce

The future workforce for electric vehicles was another focus area at EFMS 2025. A session named "Preparing the Future EV Workforce: Skills, Training, and Talent Development" included experts like Sanjeev Aggarwal from Petromin Corporation. This panel stressed developing training programmes to nurture talent capable of driving innovation in the growing EV sector.
