FII Conference Begins in Riyadh Today

This year's conference theme suggests a focus on endless investment opportunities and initiatives that shape the future. The emphasis is on sustainable long-term investments addressing global challenges while fostering innovation. Key sectors include next-generation green technologies, healthcare innovations, and youth engagement through sports.

Al-Rumayyan stated: "Economic, social, and environmental outcomes are interconnected, and these must be at the core of our decision making." He highlighted emerging markets as examples where long-term investments can spur growth. These markets are expected to grow faster than developed economies, underscoring strategic investment needs.

The Kingdom's unique resources and strategic location have attracted investments in critical areas such as energy, infrastructure, and technology. Al-Rumayyan pointed out AI's potential to add $20 trillion to the global economy by 2030, transforming industries and boosting productivity.

By 2027, AI is expected to become a benchmark of national power. It will solve problems and drive productivity across sectors like healthcare and energy. Al-Rumayyan emphasized AI's transformative power in addressing critical challenges globally.

Energy Sector Transformation

The energy sector's transformation is crucial for a fair transition balancing current needs with sustainability. Major energy players have invested over $65 billion in low-carbon technologies since 2017. Al-Rumayyan stressed that long-term investment is vital for ensuring this balance.

"Our goal is not just to fuel economies but to empower a future where energy sustains progress and wealth for generations to come," he said. This vision aligns with ensuring energy transitions that support both economic growth and environmental sustainability.

Commitment to Inclusivity

The FII Institute remains committed to inclusivity. Al-Rumayyan expressed hope that discussions at this year's conference would set new standards driving financial returns alongside human progress. By turning today's challenges into tomorrow's opportunities, the conference aims to build a vibrant future for both the global economy and humanity.
