Future Health Dialogue In Abu Dhabi Sets Ambitious Goals For Global Health Initiatives

Abu Dhabi recently hosted the first Future Health Dialogue, a significant event under the 'Future Health' initiative. This global platform aims to transform health visions into tangible outcomes. Directed by H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the initiative seeks to ensure longer, healthier lives for everyone. It brings together governments, innovators, investors, and researchers to create scalable health solutions.

The dialogue gathered insights from various sectors including government, philanthropy, education, pharmaceuticals, and investment. This highlights an open invitation for leaders and visionaries to advance global health across different fields and regions. The event underscored Abu Dhabi's role as a hub for collaboration in Longevity and Precision Health, Sustainable Health Systems, Digital Health and AI, and Life Sciences investment.

Abu Dhabi's Future Health Dialogue Launches Global Initiative

Mansoor Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, emphasised Abu Dhabi's unique position as a "living lab." He stated that it is a place where solutions are developed and scaled for global benefit. "Future Health is the next level of this vision – a platform to convene global leaders, technologists, investors, and talent," he said.

The "Partnering with Future Health Roundtables" explored Abu Dhabi’s leadership in four key areas. These discussions focused on domestic priorities and partnership opportunities to deliver global impact. The roundtables highlighted how Abu Dhabi is committed to shaping the future of health through collaboration.

A panel session titled ‘Abu Dhabi as a Living Laboratory for the Future of Health’ was held during the dialogue. Dr. Noura Al Ghaithi from the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi expressed confidence in Abu Dhabi’s ability to lead global health advancements. She noted that the Emirate connects communities around shared goals within a trusted ecosystem.

Shaista Asif from PureHealth discussed challenges in healthcare systems worldwide. She pointed out that technology like AI can democratise healthcare by making it accessible and affordable globally. "That’s the future we must build together," she remarked.

Dr. Nicole Sirotin from the Institute for Healthier Living highlighted the interconnectedness of health with environment and social factors. "What’s exciting about what’s happening here is that we’re finally bringing together all these sectors; government, business, technology, and medicine," she said.

Future Health was established as a year-round platform dedicated to turning ideas into impactful solutions. Through regional dialogues, policy roundtables, research reports, and an annual summit in Abu Dhabi, it fosters ongoing partnerships and collaboration throughout the year.

This initiative reflects Abu Dhabi's commitment to leading global health efforts by enabling breakthroughs through innovation within a data-enabled ecosystem.
