Fujairah International Conference On Adventure Tourism Scheduled For April 30 To May 2, 2025

The Fujairah International Conference of Adventures Tourism is set to take place from 30th April to 2nd May 2025 in Fujairah. This event, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, is a pioneering initiative in the UAE. Organised with the United Nations World Tourism Organisation, it aims to leverage Fujairah's natural assets and infrastructure for adventure tourism.

Amr Zein Eddine, Director of Fujairah Adventures Centre and Head of the Higher Organising Committee, stated, "Hosting this international conference marks a strategic milestone in the development of the adventure tourism sector in the region, and we are grateful for the unwavering support and guidance from H.H. The conference will introduce a standardised adventure tourism framework tailored specifically for the region. This framework aims to promote safety and best practices in adventure sports. Additionally, an Arabic translation of the UIAA book will be launched to further these goals. These initiatives are expected to enhance safety standards and encourage responsible tourism practices.

Sessions at the conference will cover various aspects of adventure tourism through industry talks, keynote speeches, and panel discussions. Topics include investment opportunities and challenges in adventure tourism, global best practices in safety standards, sustainability efforts to preserve nature while empowering local economies, and innovation led by startups and influencers.

The event aligns with economic diversification strategies by positioning Fujairah as a leading hub for adventure tourism in both the Middle East and globally. It seeks to boost international visibility for Fujairah while attracting strategic investments into its tourism sector. The conference also aims to establish a regional framework for sustainable adventure tourism.

Cultural Experiences and Outdoor Activities

The first day will feature Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremonies alongside a book launch. Over the following two days, attendees can engage in outdoor activities across Fujairah’s landscapes. These include visits to Sheikh Zayed Mosque, tours of Fujairah Fort, cultural experiences at Al Taiba Village, hikes at Wadi Wurrayah Reserve, and deep-sea fishing combined with culinary experiences.
