Fujairah Children’s Book Fair 2025 Set To Inspire Young Readers With International Participation
The emirate of Fujairah is gearing up for the second Fujairah Children’s Book Fair in 2025. Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, the event will take place from 26th October to 2nd November at the Dibba Exhibition Centre in Dibba Al Fujairah. Organised by the Office of the Crown Prince of Fujairah and the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, this fair aims to promote a love for reading among children.
Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of the Crown Prince and Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee, highlighted the support from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi. He stated, "Since its inception, the Fujairah Children’s Book Fair has enjoyed great support from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, who deeply believes in the importance of investing in knowledge and education as the cornerstone for building people, society, and the future. This event embodies Fujairah’s vision to support and advance the cultural sector at all levels."

This year’s fair will see participation from 52 publishing houses across eight countries: Kuwait, Jordan, Oman, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and for the first time, the UK. The inclusion of a non-Arab country adds an international dimension to this cultural gathering. The fair's focus is on fostering creativity through interactive programmes and workshops tailored for young minds.
Nasser Al Yamahi from the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority emphasised its unique focus on children’s literature. He remarked that it is a specialised initiative uniting books with art and technology to enhance reading's role in daily life. "This fair is a rare, specialised cultural initiative in the region," he said.
The fair will feature interactive activities designed to inspire young attendees. These include literary performances and artistic displays aimed at sparking imagination among children. Specialised workshops will provide educational content that blends entertainment with learning in a vibrant cultural setting.
The event also aims to create direct interactions between young writers and publishers. It will offer free reading spaces where book signings can occur alongside a pavilion dedicated to innovation in children's literature.
Fujairah's Vision for Cultural Growth
Building on its inaugural success, this edition continues as a unique platform dedicated to children's literature. It reflects Fujairah’s strategic vision to enhance its publishing sector while promoting knowledge exchange between Arab and international publishers.
The fair strengthens Fujairah's position as an influential cultural hub globally by advocating for a strong reading culture among youth. It increases opportunities for creative exchanges between cultural institutions worldwide.
This dynamic platform not only promotes children's publishing but also enhances Fujairah's presence among major cultural events in the UAE and beyond.
