FTA Achieves Corporate Ethical Procurement Award For Second Consecutive Year

The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has been recognised internationally for its ethical practices, receiving the Corporate Ethical Procurement and Supply Award from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS). This marks the second consecutive time the FTA has achieved this honour, making it the first tax authority worldwide to do so. The recognition highlights the FTA's commitment to integrity and excellence in its operations.

The FTA's procurement team has also been awarded the Ethics Mark Badge, further emphasising their adherence to high professional standards. Additionally, the FTA is now listed in the Global Corporate Ethics Register. These achievements solidify its reputation as a leader in taxation both regionally and globally.

FTA Wins Ethical Procurement Award Again

Khalid Ali Al Bustani, Director-General of the FTA, stated, "Securing this new international certification reflects the Federal Tax Authority’s commitment to aligning with ethical best practices in procurement and supply chain management." He added that this accomplishment boosts trust in their systems and operations, showcasing their success in developing human capital to meet top professional standards.

Al Bustani reiterated that maintaining an environment of credibility, transparency, and integrity is a priority for the FTA. The certification followed a thorough evaluation by a CIPS team of the Authority’s procurement and ethical practices. This assessment confirmed the competence and professionalism of their procurement team.

Ben Farrell MBE, CIPS Group CEO, presented the award at the FTA's headquarters in Dubai. He praised their efforts to ensure maximum transparency in their processes. This recognition underscores how dedicated the FTA is to upholding ethical standards across all facets of its operations.

These accolades not only enhance trust but also affirm that continuous efforts are being made by the FTA to align with global best practices. By achieving such distinctions, they set a benchmark for other organisations within the taxation sector worldwide.
