French Consul General Highlights Holy Quran Academy's Role In Fostering Global Connections
Jean Christophe Paris, the Consul General of France in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, praised His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi for establishing the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah. He highlighted its role as a significant educational centre that promotes global connections and shares Quranic knowledge worldwide. This commendation was made during his visit to the Academy with his deputy, Ilhami Gulcen.
The French Consul General expressed his admiration for the Academy, stating, "I was honoured to visit the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah, a prominent institution in the emirate and a centre of knowledge, preservation, and transmission of Quranic sciences in the Islamic world." He also acknowledged its importance as a bridge between different nations and religions.

During their visit, Jean Christophe Paris and Ilhami Gulcen were welcomed by Dr. Eng. Khalifa Musabah Al Tunaiji, President of the Academy; Abdullah Khalaf Al-Hosani, Secretary-General; and several department heads. They were given a tour of the Quranic museums and received an overview of the Academy's mission and structure.
The Academy is built on three main pillars: the Sharjah Global Electronic Quran Recitation Platform, which provides students with Quranic certifications; the Department of Studies and Scientific Research, responsible for academic projects; and the Quranic Museums that display historical manuscripts and notable figures in Quranic history.
Jean Christophe Paris shared his experience touring the museums within the Academy. He noted that they house rare manuscripts, textiles from the Holy Kaaba in Makkah, and legacies of renowned Quran reciters. These exhibits highlight both historical significance and cultural heritage.
The French Consul General appreciated His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi's efforts in creating this institution. The Academy not only serves as an educational hub but also strengthens ties between various cultures through its diverse student body.
Global Reach
Each year, more than 400 students from over 172 countries visit the Holy Quran Academy. This international presence underscores its role as a global centre for learning about Quranic sciences and fostering intercultural dialogue among students worldwide.
