Formula 1 Stc Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Kicks Off With Thrilling Practice Sessions In Jeddah

The Formula 1 stc Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, part of the Formula 1 World Championship, kicked off its practice sessions at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. Known as the fastest street circuit globally, it hosted two practice rounds under the Ministry of Sport's guidance. French driver Pierre Gasly from Alpine led the first session with a lap time of 1 minute, 29.239 seconds.

British driver Lando Norris of McLaren closely followed Gasly in the first session, finishing just 0.007 seconds behind. Charles Leclerc from Ferrari secured third place, trailing by 0.070 seconds. The second practice saw Norris take the lead with a lap time of 1 minute, 28.267 seconds.

Formula 1 stc Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Starts

Oscar Piastri, Norris's teammate from Australia, came in second during the second practice session, lagging by 0.163 seconds. Max Verstappen of Red Bull, the reigning world champion, finished third in this round, trailing by 0.280 seconds.

The event continues with a third and final free practice session scheduled for tomorrow at 4:30 pm. This one-hour session will be followed by a qualifying round at 8:00 pm to determine Sunday's starting grid for the main race.

The Jeddah Corniche Circuit hosts various activities alongside the races, attracting large crowds. The Fan Zone is particularly popular, featuring entertainment and informational booths. An official Formula 1 store is also present, offering team merchandise and accessories.

Lando Norris currently leads the overall standings in the Formula 1 World Championship with 77 points. His teammate Oscar Piastri follows closely with 74 points, while Max Verstappen holds third place with 69 points.
