Foreign Ministers Convene For The 33rd Session Of The Arab League Council In Manamah
Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated today in the preparatory meeting of foreign ministers of the 33rd session of the Council of the League of Arab States in Manama, Bahrain. Prince Faisal delivered a speech reiterating the Kingdom's commitment to enhancing joint Arab action and coordination among member states to address regional and international challenges, particularly the Palestinian issue.
Prince Faisal highlighted the Kingdom's firm principles in defending Arab causes and striving for peace, stability, and development. He emphasized that Saudi Arabia has worked with allied countries to mobilize international support to halt Israeli attacks on Palestinians and mitigate the crisis's repercussions. The Kingdom hosted the Joint Arab Islamic Extraordinary Summit and participated in a ministerial follow-up committee to convey a unified position supporting Palestinians.

Prince Faisal condemned the continuous aggression by Israeli forces, which violates international laws and norms. He stressed that the absence of international accountability has worsened the humanitarian catastrophe and undermined the credibility of international institutions. The Minister called for an immediate and permanent ceasefire, continuous aid delivery, and a credible path to a two-state solution based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as the capital.
The Foreign Affairs Minister reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts and full support for achieving peace in Yemen. He emphasized the importance of reaching a comprehensive political solution through dialogue and consultation between Yemeni parties. This approach aims to initiate development and economic recovery processes.
Prince Faisal stressed the Kingdom's commitment to preserving the security and safety of the Red Sea region. He highlighted the importance of ensuring freedom of navigation and preventing further crises in the area.
Sudan Crisis
Addressing Sudan, Prince Faisal expressed deep concern about ongoing military operations and resulting humanitarian suffering. He reiterated Saudi Arabia's call for dialogue to reach a political solution that respects Sudan's sovereignty, unity, and national institutions.
Syria's Stability
The Minister highlighted the resumption of Syria's participation in the 32nd Arab Summit. He emphasized achieving security and stability in Syria while respecting its sovereignty, territorial unity, and Arab identity. Efforts to facilitate refugees' voluntary return and combat terrorist organizations were also stressed.
Lebanon's Reforms
Prince Faisal expressed support for the Lebanese people, urging all parties to prioritize public interest by implementing comprehensive political and economic reforms to overcome Lebanon's crises.
Libya's Sovereignty
The Minister reiterated Saudi Arabia's call for security and stability in Libya. He emphasized ensuring Libya's sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, and ending interference in its internal affairs.
Somalia's Future
Prince Faisal also expressed hope for a future of security and stability in Somalia.
