Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Highlights Importance Of Dialogue At Third Asia Cooperation Dialogue Summit

Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, representing His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, attended the Third Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit in Doha. During his speech, he expressed gratitude to Qatar for hosting the event and conveyed greetings from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince. He highlighted the importance of the ACD platform in fostering dialogue and cooperation among Asian nations.

Prince Faisal emphasised that development challenges are intertwined with political and security tensions in the region. He pointed to ongoing issues in Palestine and Lebanon as significant barriers to economic progress and trade. "The continuation of aggression and violations in the region hinders the movement of international trade," he stated, noting how these tensions threaten investment flows and economic collaboration globally.

Saudi Foreign Minister Attends ACD Summit

The minister stressed resolving regional conflicts through peaceful means is crucial for prosperity. He acknowledged support from ACD countries for a two-state solution regarding Palestine. "We thank the countries of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue for their support for the two-state solution," he said, urging global recognition of Palestine's statehood.

Prince Faisal also mentioned Saudi Arabia's role in forming an international coalition to implement this solution. He urged other nations to join efforts towards peace, highlighting Saudi Arabia's commitment to diplomatic resolutions.

Highlighting sports' role in diplomacy, Prince Faisal noted its effectiveness in fostering dialogue and peace. "The Kingdom believes in the importance of sports diplomacy as an effective means of facilitating constructive dialogue," he remarked. Saudi Arabia continues to host major sports events to bolster this sector.

The Saudi delegation at the summit included notable figures such as Saudi Ambassador to Qatar Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Farhan, Abdulrahman Aldawood from the Foreign Minister's Office, and Fares Al-Otaibi from Federations, Groups, and Specialized Organizations.

The summit underscored Saudi Arabia's commitment to regional stability through dialogue and cooperation. By addressing political tensions peacefully and promoting sports diplomacy, Saudi Arabia aims to enhance economic development across Asia.
