Saudi Foreign Minister Meets Palestine Prime Minister And Signs Key Memoranda Of Understanding
Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Dr. Mohammad Mustafa, the Prime Minister of Palestine. This meeting occurred at the Kingdom's Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York. It was part of a high-level conference on peacefully resolving the Palestinian issue and implementing a two-state solution, co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France.
The discussions between Prince Faisal and Dr. Mustafa focused on strengthening bilateral relations and addressing developments in Palestine. They explored ways to enhance joint efforts and coordinate international positions to support Palestinian rights. This meeting underscored Saudi Arabia's commitment to backing the Palestinian cause.

Following their discussions, three memoranda of understanding were signed. These agreements highlight Saudi Arabia's ongoing support for Palestine and its reform initiatives across various sectors. The first memorandum focuses on human capital development, involving collaboration between Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and Palestine's General Personnel Council.
The second memorandum targets curriculum development, leveraging Saudi expertise in this field. It involves cooperation between the Saudi Ministry of Education and Palestine's Ministry of Education and Higher Education. The third agreement addresses communications, information technology, digital transformation, and expertise transfer.
The memoranda aim to empower Palestinian society by focusing on education and human resource development. They also seek to enhance communication infrastructure to provide essential services to Palestinians. These efforts are crucial for strengthening resilience amid challenging circumstances.
Saudi representatives signing these agreements included Eng. Ibrahim Bahammam for human capital development, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Makmi Al-Ruwaili for curriculum development, and Eng. Mansour Saleh Al-Qurashi for communications technology.
Strengthening Bilateral Relations
This initiative reflects the strong fraternal ties between Saudi Arabia and Palestine at both leadership and people levels. The Kingdom believes that education plays a vital role in empowering Palestinian youth to lead their nation towards independence.
The meeting was attended by several notable figures from Saudi Arabia, including Princess Reema bint Bandar Al-Saud, Ambassador to the United States; Prince Musab bin Mohammed Al Farhan; Abdullah bin Zarah; Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasil; Mohammed Alyahya; and Dr. Manal Radwan.
These agreements demonstrate a shared commitment to building a better future for Palestinians through cooperation in education, technology, and human resource development.
