Addressing regional conflicts, Prince Faisal stressed that the ongoing situation in Gaza threatens international security and challenges global laws. He criticised Israel's actions and urged the international community to push for an immediate ceasefire. He called for unhindered humanitarian aid access and the release of hostages.

The minister warned against hate speech proliferation, particularly concerning threats to annex the West Bank and expand settlements. He advocated for preserving international credibility by collaborating with countries committed to peace, aiming to implement a two-state solution effectively.

Prince Faisal reiterated Saudi Arabia's dedication to peace as a strategic choice, referencing King Fahd's 1981 peace initiative and subsequent Arab summits. He mentioned launching the Global Alliance for implementing a two-state solution, focusing on establishing a Palestinian state and supporting Palestinian self-determination.

He welcomed Lebanon's ceasefire decision, hoping it would lead to implementing UN Security Council Resolution 1701. This resolution aims to protect Lebanon’s sovereignty and stability while strengthening its institutions.

Concerns Over Sudan and Vision 2030

The minister expressed concern about Sudan's ongoing war disrupting humanitarian aid, worsening its crisis. He stressed finding a sustainable political solution to preserve Sudan’s sovereignty and security. Domestically, he highlighted Vision 2030 as Saudi Arabia’s transformative agenda foundation.

Vision 2030 aligns foreign policy with economic and social progress goals benefiting the region. Despite regional conflicts, Prince Faisal remains optimistic about the Middle East’s future due to its strategic location, economic potential, and resources.

A Path Towards Regional Stability

To unlock regional potential, Prince Faisal emphasised creating a secure foundation promoting cooperation and global partnerships leading to economic integration. He stated that insecurity stems from political disagreements needing political solutions.

The minister looks forward to prioritising shared interests over short-term considerations, marking a hopeful turning point for regional prosperity. This shift could offer hope for a brighter future for people across the Middle East.
