Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Launches Global Alliance For Two-State Solution In Riyadh
Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, initiated the inaugural meeting of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution in Riyadh. This coalition, introduced by Saudi Arabia last month with international partners, seeks to promote peace efforts in the region. Prince Faisal welcomed Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of UNRWA, and other delegations during his opening remarks.
Prince Faisal highlighted that increasing violence and Israeli violations in Palestine and Lebanon demand a decisive response from the global community. He stressed that these actions threaten the viability of a two-state solution and contribute to regional instability. An immediate ceasefire is necessary, along with releasing hostages and detainees and ensuring accountability to end impunity.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia remains committed to supporting UNRWA's crucial role in delivering humanitarian aid amid ongoing challenges in Palestinian territories. Prince Faisal urged for stronger international efforts to maintain the two-state solution and restore peace and stability in the region. He emphasized that practical steps with clear timelines are essential to end occupation and establish an independent Palestinian state.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister for Political Affairs Ambassador Dr. Saud Al-Sati and Counsellor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Manal Radwan. Their presence underscored Saudi Arabia's dedication to achieving peace through collaboration with regional partners.
Prince Faisal reiterated Saudi Arabia's support for UNRWA's vital work in providing humanitarian assistance amidst difficulties faced by Palestinian territories. The Kingdom is committed to working with its regional allies to achieve peace through defined actions aimed at ending occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state.
