Foreign Minister Endorses Final Document Of Two-State Solution Conference And Urges Global Support

Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, representing Saudi Arabia, France, and other key nations involved in the international conference, endorsed the final document on resolving the Palestinian issue. This endorsement occurred at the end of the second day of the high-level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Palestinian Question at the United Nations headquarters in New York City. The Kingdom and France co-chaired this significant event.

The conference's outcomes encompass comprehensive proposals across various tracks, including political, humanitarian, security, economic, legal, and strategic narratives. These proposals form a cohesive framework aimed at implementing the two-state solution to achieve peace and security for all parties involved. Prince Faisal urged all UN member states to support this final document before the upcoming UN General Assembly session in September.

Foreign Minister Supports Two-State Solution Document

The endorsed document outlines a commitment to jointly work towards ending the conflict in Gaza. It aims for a just and lasting settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through effective implementation of the two-state solution. Prince Faisal reiterated Saudi Arabia's condemnation of attacks targeting civilians by any party. He specifically mentioned indiscriminate attacks, assaults on civilian infrastructure, provocative actions, incitement, and acts of destruction as unacceptable behaviors that must cease.

The three-day Two-State Solution Conference focused on adopting irreversible steps with set timelines toward peacefully resolving the Palestinian issue. The goal was to accelerate implementing the two-state solution through tangible actions that would establish an independent Palestinian state. This effort aims to secure Palestinians' legitimate right to live with dignity on their land.
