Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Addresses OIC Meeting On Gaza Crisis And Calls For Humanitarian Aid
Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, took part in the 21st Extraordinary Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah. During this session, he delivered a speech addressing the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestinians. Prince Faisal highlighted the OIC's solidarity with Palestine and condemned the severe acts of occupation, killing, starvation, displacement, and genocide by Israeli forces.
He urged OIC member states to unify their positions and develop cooperation mechanisms to confront these threats. The minister called for immediate international action to stop crimes by Israeli occupation forces and reject their plans for full military control over Gaza. He emphasized the necessity of breaking the siege and allowing humanitarian aid into Gaza through international cooperation.

The minister stressed supporting UNRWA and other UN agencies working in occupied Palestinian territories. He urged global efforts to assist Palestinians in building capacities and empowering national institutions by backing the Palestinian National Authority's reform measures. Prince Faisal condemned recent Israeli statements about a "greater Israel vision" and rejected settlement projects.
He reaffirmed Palestinians' historical right to establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital based on 1967 borders. Prince Faisal expressed support for Egyptian and Qatari efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza and facilitate rapid humanitarian aid delivery. He mentioned ongoing work by the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee formed during extraordinary summits in Riyadh.
The Kingdom welcomes growing international consensus supporting a two-state solution, particularly through efforts by the Global Alliance for Implementation of the Two-State Solution and an International Conference co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France. Prince Faisal noted increasing recognition of Palestine by countries in Europe, Americas, and Oceania as evidence that Israeli violations are rejected globally.
He added that countries hesitant to condemn these violations must realize that Israeli occupation realities are no longer hidden. In his concluding remarks, Prince Faisal stressed that unchecked Israeli violations undermine international order and law principles. Such actions destroy opportunities for cooperation and legitimacy while expanding conflict risks globally.
