FNC And World Affairs Council Discuss Joint Efforts To Promote Tolerance And Sustainable Development

Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, who chairs the Committee on Defense, Interior, and Foreign Affairs in the Federal National Council, recently engaged with a delegation from the World Affairs Council in Dallas. Led by Jennifer Boden, the group discussed enhancing cooperation in tolerance and sustainable development.

During their discussions, Dr. Al Nuaimi highlighted the enduring vision of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. He noted that Sheikh Zayed's foresight in prioritising human capital investment laid a strong foundation for the UAE's progress. This vision included providing education for all and encouraging women's participation, which has empowered Emirati women to achieve high academic and professional success.

The UAE continues to build on this legacy by implementing advanced educational policies and attracting top-tier universities. These efforts have positioned the nation as a regional hub for knowledge and innovation. Dr. Al Nuaimi emphasised that scientific research is also a priority, further enhancing the country's global standing.

Dr. Al Nuaimi explained that tolerance and coexistence are deeply embedded in Emirati identity. The UAE is home to over 200 nationalities living harmoniously, reflecting leadership's commitment to cultural dialogue and human brotherhood principles.

The UAE extends its development efforts globally, supporting projects across continents to improve human life quality and stability. These initiatives cover vital sectors like education, health, infrastructure, and renewable energy, focusing on sustainable community empowerment.

Dr. Al Nuaimi stated that the UAE's practice of tolerance transcends its borders through initiatives promoting coexistence culture and interfaith dialogue. Hosting international events strengthens ties between different peoples worldwide.

At the meeting's end, Dr. Al Nuaimi reaffirmed the UAE's dedication to investing in education, fostering tolerance culture, and supporting global development projects. This commitment aligns with Sheikh Zayed’s legacy and leadership’s vision for a sustainable future.
