FNC And European Parliament Explore Joint Partnership Opportunities For Enhanced Cooperation
Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, who leads the Committee on Defense, Interior, and Foreign Affairs in the Federal National Council (FNC), recently met with Reinhold Lopatka in Abu Dhabi. Lopatka chairs the European Parliament’s Delegation for relations with the Arab Peninsula. Their discussion focused on enhancing collaboration between the FNC and the European Parliament (EP) across various sectors.
Dr. Al Nuaimi highlighted the longstanding strategic partnership between the UAE and the European Union. This relationship spans decades and covers areas like politics, economics, security, and energy. He stressed that enhancing parliamentary cooperation is vital for supporting regional and international stability.

The meeting also explored launching a joint parliamentary platform. This initiative aims to foster sustainable dialogue and coordinate positions on regional and international challenges. Such a platform would strengthen parliamentary cooperation between the FNC and EP.
