FNC Engages With Brazilian And Belarusian Parliaments To Enhance Cooperation And Strategic Partnerships

Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Committee on Defence, Interior, and Foreign Affairs in the Federal National Council (FNC), engaged in discussions with Senator Davi Alcolumbre, President of the Senate of Brazil. This meeting took place during the 11th BRICS Parliamentary Forum at the National Congress in Brasília. The gathering included Sara Falaknaz, an FNC member, and Saleh Ahmed Al Suwaidi, UAE Ambassador to Brazil.

Senator Alcolumbre acknowledged the UAE parliamentary delegation's active involvement in the forum. He highlighted the significance of reinforcing parliamentary ties as a crucial means for expanding cooperation channels. He also commended the UAE's efforts in fostering transparency and promoting economic growth both regionally and globally.

Dr. Al Nuaimi underscored the robust bilateral relations between the UAE and Brazil. He mentioned that the UAE views Brazil as a strategic partner across multiple sectors. Emphasising collaboration, he pointed out the importance of joint development projects that benefit both nations and their citizens.

The discussions explored avenues for deepening bilateral cooperation, focusing on promising opportunities in advanced technology, energy, and economic investment sectors. These areas are seen as key contributors to broader and more sustainable strategic partnerships between the two countries.

During this meeting, Dr. Al Nuaimi presented an official letter from Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council. The letter was addressed to the President of the Brazilian Senate, extending a formal invitation to visit the UAE.

UAE-Belarus Relations

In another meeting, Dr. Al Nuaimi met with Sergei Rachkov, Chairman of Belarus's Standing Commission for Foreign Affairs and National Security. Both parties affirmed their strong bilateral relations and emphasised enhancing parliamentary cooperation through ongoing dialogue and coordination on mutual interests.

The meeting with Belarusian representatives was attended by FNC member Sara Falkanaz. Dr. Al Nuaimi highlighted significant opportunities for further collaboration across various sectors between UAE and Belarus.

Dr. Al Nuaimi stressed that current global challenges necessitate effective partnerships and innovative models for international cooperation. This approach is essential for addressing shared strategic objectives and mutual interests effectively.
